Sharavathi Valley wildlife sanctuary

You might have read my post regarding Dabbe falls. We visited the Dabbe falls while travelling from jog falls to Bhatkal. But prior to it we in point of fact visited a superb dangerous place called ‘Sharavathi Valley wildlife sanctuary’.

This place locate near the road between Jog falls and Bhatkal. This is a govt owned wildlife sanctuary that has facilities like view of wild animals, forest research and study of environment, adventure of forest area, trekking and swimming, awareness of nature and environment etc. But it was a bad time; the facilities were just on the welcome gate display. Unfortunately the wildlife sanctuary was closed due to some reasons. We were footing in front of the closed gate thinking what to do next. By the time when a pedestrian came near we asked him can we go inside the closed sanctuary. He replied not to enter inside it due to some dangerous security issues and no one will be inside the sanctuary to assist us if something terrible has happened. After the explanation he moved away.

I was thinking what to do. Meanwhile it happened..HUH!..My friend crossed the closed gate of sanctuary and entered into it through a small way side to the gate. I was shocked by their extremely powerful decision. No other chance. I have to go with them. Finally we altogether in three bikes entered into the sanctuary. I was really in truth frightened. We all started riding through the small forest before the sanctuary. It feels so loneliness. The road was so dusty, muddy and filled with full of leaves. While travelling we could see many placards warning deer near, tiger near etc etc. All this strengthen my fright.  And I feel all my friends feel the same.

After some while we saw some buildings far apart. We moved close. Aww.. It was superb. We saw a river just near to the building that’s really beautiful just like a hidden beauty. We were really happy at the instance to see this great place. Then we checked the buildings, all were closed and feels like those buildings were used by ghosts. Anyway we intended not to stay here for long. But still with this limited time we took photos as much as we can. Apart from taking our photos we also find time to take photos of large animal’s foot prints.
Anyway we planned to get out of the sanctuary as soon as promising, otherwise I may not get a chance to write this blog now hahahahahaha… while riding bike through the dangerous forest to outside, one friend told to friends “friends, just think what will be happening if someone of us bike's tyre is damaged”.

His dangerous words were the fuel to take us to outside so fast. At last we all reached outside safely and feel like we discovered a new place like Columbus discovered America. And from there we visited the Dabbe falls. All about it I have already discussed.
